The company from Sant Salvador de Guardiola has announced the expansion of its facilities up to 25000m2, to increase its production capacity.
The company is an international leader in the innovation and manufacture of accessibility systems for public transport vehicles and has expanded its facilities with a new building of nearly 5,000m2 that will be used for the manufacture of aluminum doors for urban vehicles.
In order to meet growing market demand and strengthen its position as a benchmark in the public transport sector, Masats has taken over a building located next to its current facilities, which now total 25,000m2, in Sant Salvador de Guardiola.
"We are pleased to have new facilities strategically located, which will allow us to improve our logistics and production operations, and to undertake the growth planned for the coming years," said the CEO, Mr. Ignacio Elburgo.
This new area will also allow us to rationalize the workflow between other production sections, and add a 3rd production line for aluminum doors.
In the coming months, the company will carry out works to adapt the building, with new investments to allow for greater efficiency in production, and the implementation of more advanced technologies to maintain the highest quality standards.
Masats has different areas of activity: automatic door systems for buses, coaches and trains; ramps and lifts for access of people with reduced mobility to public transport vehicles, and platform doors to improve security in railway and metro stations.
